DJI Phantom 3 Review – £450

The Phantom 3 is one of the best all round drones, being high quality but still very competitively priced. At around £450, you will struggle to find another drone at this price while still being an overall excellent product. Although the Phantom 4 is now out, it is nearly double in price.

The Phantom 3 has an intergrated camera, which shots in 2.7k (30fps). Although it isn’t 4k the footage is still high quality, suitable for most users. The images are up to 12MP which also look great.

The drone shows a live stream on your phone, a HD real time view of what the camera is looking at so you can ensure that the images are correct. The battery is average, lasting 25 minutes on a single charge and the battery will let you know when it is running low to make sure you don’t fly it too far!

Some features include ‘follow me’ which can track a particular object or person and the ‘point of interest’ which can circle account a certain feature. The gimble has stabilising technology to make sure that the images are all stable and look professional.

Overall, even though it is a few years old, it is one of the most popular drones in the industry, especially with amateurs. It can be ordered from amazon, which is currently around £450.
