DJI Mavic Pro drone review

The Mavic Pro is DJI’s smallest drone yet, being very portable and fits into most bags. Don’t let the size put you off  though, it is still very powerful and can create some fantastic footage and images. Its RRP is £1099, find the latest deal here

The key features include its 4k at 30fps HD footage and 12 megapixel camera. This is enough for the majority of purposes, from amateur to professionals. It also boosts a 4.3mile (7km) range and 27 minute flight. Extra battery can be bought to increase this for long days out.

A common problem with low end drones is the lack of sensors, resulting in drones crashing onto trees and houses. The Mavic Pro has sensors that can  detect objects up to 15 meters away, allowing it to bypass and, hopefully lead to safer and and longer life to both the drone and the trees and  surrounding windows!

The Mavic Pro also has several creative features including tapfly where it follows a plot on the map, a tripod mode, where the stability allows for selfies or indoor flying and it can track either the controller or a person. Other features include the Gesture mode, where it allows you to motion and control the drone with gestures. The Mavic Pro can reach 40mph in the Sports mode.

To maintain its small size, the arms fold in and the drone is controlled with your smartphone. Although this means a smaller screen, it is very portable and is fairly simple to use and control.

Overall, this is a very high quality drone, suitable for anyone due to its great portability. It is my personal favourite and the one of the best all round drone.
